Conservation Programs
Texas Gas Service works hand in hand with other local utilities — Austin Energy and the Austin Water Utility — to promote whole-home conservation strategies that save gas, electricity and water, improve our environmental quality and help us all have the best possible quality of life.
In 2009, the Texas Gas Service Conservation Program provided more than $1 million in rebates to qualified Texas Gas Service customers.
The Conservation Program offers more than 15 different rebate programs, ranging from incentives for high-efficiency natural gas water heaters to natural gas vehicles. To learn about rebates for your home or business, click on the links below.

Who Can Participate in the Conservation Program?
Residential and commercial customers located within the Austin, Sunset Valley, Cedar Park, Kyle, Rollingwood and West Lake Hills city limits are eligible for rebates given through the Conservation Program.
In the mid-1980s, the Austin City Council began requiring Texas Gas Service to collect a special fee from Texas Gas Service customers in Austin to fund conservation programs and activities. This "conservation adjustment clause" provides the funds for the Conservation Program and its staff, incentives and activities within the Cities of Austin and Sunset Valley.
In 2009, the Conservation Program expanded to include customers within the Cedar Park, Kyle, Rollingwood and West Lake Hills city limits.
How to Apply for a Rebate
To apply for a rebate, complete any of the forms and mail or fax them to Texas Gas Service.
