Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will not be disrupting natural gas service due to our AMR meter upgrade program.
We are upgrading our infrastructure in El Paso. The upgrades include converting more than 100,000 meters to an Automated Meter Reading (AMR) system.
The program is intended to benefit our customers with a more convenient option for meter reading and to provide more efficient operations. The AMR system reduces the need for meter readers to be in your yard. Instead, our meter readers will be able to gather data wirelessly via a signal from the AMR system.
