What do I need to know about my bill?

The Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC) approved a securitization mechanism that was developed to allow the collection of those extraordinary costs from Winter Storm Uri over several years, thereby lessening the impact on customers’ monthly bills.

El cargo de titulización es de $2.14 por Mcf. El cliente residencial promedio pagará aproximadamente $7.49 al mes, cantidad que fluctúa según el uso. Este cargo se incluirá en el concepto de Costo del Gas en su factura a partir del 10/06/2026.

  • What is securitization?
    Securitization is a mechanism our state legislature provided to allow the extraordinary costs from Winter Storm Uri to be paid by issuing bonds. As a result, natural gas customers repay the bonds over a longer, more manageable time frame, resulting in lower monthly bill impacts for our customers.
  • ¿Cuánto tienen que pagar los clientes residenciales?

    A partir del 10 de junio de 2026, los clientes residenciales verán un cargo volumétrico de $2.14 por Mcf, facturado a 14.65 PSI, incluido en la partida de Costo del Gas en sus facturas. Esto promediará aproximadamente $7,49 mensuales, dependiendo del consumo. A continuación, encontrarás una tabla que detalla la base de presión.

  • When will I see the securitization charge on my bill?
    This charge will start being included in the Cost of Gas line item on your bill on June, 10, 2026.  
  • ¿Cuánto tiempo tendré que pagar por la titulización?
    El cargo por titulización se agregará a las facturas mensuales de los clientes durante el plazo de 16 años de los bonos. El cargo puede ajustarse al alza o a la baja al menos dos veces al año, dependiendo de la cantidad recaudada de los clientes.
  • Are you charging a franchise fee on the securitization fee?
    No. Per the statute, securitization charges are exempt from franchise fees and gross receipts fees.
