Can I still apply for a rebate?
Because Texas Gas Service's Energy Efficiency Program for residential and commercial customers in Central Texas expired on December 31, 2024, we are unable to accept and process rebate applications.

Why did you end the Central Texas Energy Efficiency Program?
New legislation passed in 2023 requires all program proposals to be submitted to the RRC for approval. Our previous programs expired at the end of 2024, and the RRC is currently reviewing our new proposal.

Why was I denied an appliance rebate when I met the requirements?
Because Texas Gas Service no longer has an Energy Efficiency Program for customers in Central Texas, we’re unable to process rebate applications. We are awaiting approval from the RRC for a new Energy Efficiency Program.

Will I be charged for your program since it has expired?
No, customers will not be charged for an energy conservation program during the interim period between December 31, 2024, and the launch of the new program.

When will the new Central Texas Energy Efficiency Program be available?
The new program proposal is under review with the Railroad Commission of Texas, and we do not have an exact date to share. Once the new program is approved, we can share more details, including a launch date.
