Can I still apply for a rebate?
Because Texas Gas Service's Energy Efficiency Program for residential and commercial customers in Central Texas expired on December 31, 2024, we are unable to accept and process rebate applications.

Why did you end the Central Texas Energy Efficiency Program?
New legislation passed in 2023 requires all program proposals to be submitted to the Railroad Commission for Texas (RRC) for approval. Our new program application was denied by the RRC , and, as a result, we are unable to continue offering rebates and incentives for customers in 2026.

Why was I denied an appliance rebate when I met the requirements?
Because Texas Gas Service no longer has an Energy Efficiency Program for customers in Central Texas, we’re unable to process rebate applications.

When will the new Central Texas Energy Efficiency Program be available?
We don’t know when a new program will be approved and ready to launch. We remain dedicated to promoting energy efficiency education and are actively exploring opportunities to enhance energy conservation programming in the future.
