  • I have homeowners' insurance for my home. Does it cover these types of issues?
    Individual policies vary, but standard homeowners’ insurance policies typically do not cover repair or replacement of these types of home systems.  Before enrolling, you should review your homeowners’ insurance policy terms to see if you already have coverage.
  • Are these plans required?
    No, all plans offered by Oncourse Home Solutions are optional and are not regulated utility services. Oncourse Home Solutions is not affiliated with (Kansas Gas Service, Oklahoma Natural Gas Texas Gas Service, Oklahoma Natural Gas, or ONE Gas, Inc.).  These optional protection plans are not regulated utility services or regulated activities of the above-referenced utilities.     When you enroll, you may have the option to pay for your plan(s) through your Texas Gas Service monthly utility bill. If you elect on-bill payment, charges will display on your statement as “Oncourse Home Solutions Protection Plan(s) in a separate section from your Texas Gas Service utility charges.
  • Who is Oncourse Home Solutions?
    Oncourse Home Solutions is an independent third-party provider of optional home warranty protection plans. They provide protection for 1.8 million homeowners nationwide and have achieved an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau. You can purchase warranty coverage for your water line, sewer line, gas line and other home services.
  • How does the program work?
    In the event of an issue with a covered line, you should contact Oncourse Home Solutions directly to coordinate the repair. Oncourse will assign a local contractor for the job. You will receive confirmation of the repair time and contractor’s name, along with an estimate of their arrival time. The contractor will assess the issue to ensure it is covered and complete repair in a timely manner. 
  • Are there situations or issues that the program will not cover?
    Yes, there are circumstances or existing conditions that Oncourse Home Solutions excludes from covered repairs. You should review the terms and conditions of your protection plan carefully to understand the coverage limits and exclusions.
